Before we moved into the Booth House, we had heard of many stories coming about the property. Many of these stories come from the local residents. Some of the reports have included:

• Noises from the property including: voices, moaning, crashing sounds and music.
• Apparitions in the backyard both luminescent and/or shadowy figures.
• Apparitions in the windows.
• The appearance of a wooden gazebo/pagoda in the backyard that has not been there for more than 30 years!
• A green light coming from the cracks of the slave quarters’ boarded windows.

Since we have been having meetings, workshops and overnight investigations here at The Haunted Cottage, we have gotten some really interesting data. Some of the phenomena reported and recorded include:

• EVP in the slave quarters on at least three occasions. Click here!
• Eyewitnesses have seen closet doors open and close.
• Voices and moaning sounds have been recorded.
• Singing.
• Crashing sounds, bangs and knocking.
• Sometimes, after music is played, we can hear the sounds of a conversation ending.
• Motion sensors have gone off from time to time when no one visible was present.
• A TV remote control was found on the other side of the house from its origin, taken apart on the floor with the batteries taken out.
• Feelings of strong emotions in certain rooms (2nd floor bedrooms, attic, slave quarters and cellar). Feelings include sadness, dread, foreboding and fear.
• Strange changes in barometric pressure. Sometimes causing ears to “pop”.
