Guests visit The Haunted Cottage
One of the highlights of the month of May was a visit by the Cub Scouts of America. We had to squeeze nearly 70 people (mostly kids) into the meeting room!

We took the Scouts on a tour of the house, told them as much of the history as they could take and then told them the ghost stories! To top off the afternoon, we gave them a tour of historic Harpers Ferry! Everyone had a great time! As a former Scout Master myself, it was a ball having them at the Cottage.
Families and groups from all over have come to see what The Haunted Cottage is all about. Some are interested in the training, some just want to hear a good ghost story. All come to see what all the this could possibly be about!
As word spread of Harpers Ferry’s newest addition, everyone skeptics to true believers in the paranormal have come to see if there is anything to the stories of the Haunted Cottage’s stories of being haunted!
Many who once thought there could never be anything such as “ghosts” have left having doubts. While others, who thought ghost hunting TV shows are the only way, have left more open minded as well!
Some of the experiences guests have claimed include:
- Being poked.
- Hair being touched.
- Closet doors opening and closing.
- Strange feelings.
- The bicycle in the cellar moving on its own!
Many guests cannot wait to come back. Some want to be trained to be paranormal researchers! What about you?
SEE YOU SOON!
