October can be a very busy month for those in the field of paranormal research. We have had a lot of requests to put something together for October. Requests acknowledged!

Learn the true history of Halloween!

Author and paranormal researcher Vince Wilson will give a lecture on the history of Halloween, All Saints Day. Then, he will give guests a tour of The Haunted Cottage and investigate its reports of hauntings with actual paranormal investigative equipment. Sat and Sun October 30th and 31st 2010 at 1:00 PM. $10

Learn about the life and death of one the world’s greatest and most mysterious entertainers – Harry Houdini!

We will start with a video on Houdini and learn about this fascinating character who inspired so many magicians and, indeed, paranormal investigators and skeptics alike! Then, we gather for a séance in order to try an contact the great master of prestidigitation! Will he return as he claimed he would so many years ago? Perhaps, in an actual haunted location will inspire hime to make one more spectacular appearance! Sunday Morning October 31st 12:00 AM – 2:00 AM. $10

Edgar Allan Poe: His Life and Death

Learn the about the life and death of one America’s most iconic authors and citizens – Edgar Allan Poe.

Guests will learn the theories about what happened to Poe on his last day. Sat, Oct 09, 2010, 03:00 PM. $10

    Hello, I can’t wait to visit the cottage. I met you at a couple of paranormal conferences and was pleased to hear you are in charge of the cottage. I live in Martinsburg just a short distance away and I take paranormal pictures. I probably have a few thousand by now and would love to come photograph the cottage to add to my collection.
