Mysterious Mist at The Haunted Cottage!
Debbie Shives of The Maryland Society of Ghosthunters took this picture at The Haunted Cottage on June 26th, 2010.
Debbie had this to say, “When we were on the 3rd floor we experienced very high EMF readings (using your equipment at the time). I took pictures at the time of the spikes but got nothing. I took this pic outside of the house on June 26th during our investigation there.”
What do you think is in it? Whatever it is (no one was smoking on this warm June evening) don’t call it ectoplasm! We’ll settle for “mysterious” for the time being.

Guests visit The Haunted Cottage
One of the highlights of the month of May was a visit by the Cub Scouts of America. We had to squeeze nearly 70 people (mostly kids) into the meeting room!

Just wanted to express a huge Thank You for the Midnight Tour on Friday, April 23, 2010, for our family of five (since no one else signed up for that tour time). My kids and I are fascinated with the type of work and investigations that you do. Realizing that it was your third tour of the night you forged on to give us the best ghost tour we have ever experienced.

This audio file I recorded was done when I had gotten up to get a drink from the kitchen. If you look at the floor plans (click here), I began this experiment in the library area which is directly under the slave quarters. I initially was a bit unnerved, but gathered my senses quickly. At first I couldn’t tell if perhaps there was a burglar, so I called out and received no response. The footsteps came down to about halfway down the steps. This is when I ran to get my digital voice recorder.
