A family and other guests visit The Haunted Cottage and have a unique experience! According to the witnesses, the child’s bike in the cellar not only gave strange magnetic readings, but also moved between visits to the room!

Kids discover unknown EMF
Some would-be paranormal researchers came across unusual electromagnetic readings in the library on Friday night. They discovered the fluctuations in the library near the floor. We ruled out wiring since it would stop just before the floorboards and seemed to move.
Earlier they learned about electromagnetism and how some technologies generate EMF (Electro-Magnetic Fields).
Investigations as to the source are ongoing.
Did a ghost close this door?

Eyewitness Report
A guest at The Haunted Cottage in Harpers Ferry witnessed a very strange occurrence. A door opened from a closed, latched position while we watched.

Mysterious Mist at The Haunted Cottage!
Debbie Shives of The Maryland Society of Ghosthunters took this picture at The Haunted Cottage on June 26th, 2010.
Debbie had this to say, “When we were on the 3rd floor we experienced very high EMF readings (using your equipment at the time). I took pictures at the time of the spikes but got nothing. I took this pic outside of the house on June 26th during our investigation there.”
What do you think is in it? Whatever it is (no one was smoking on this warm June evening) don’t call it ectoplasm! We’ll settle for “mysterious” for the time being.

Guests visit The Haunted Cottage
One of the highlights of the month of May was a visit by the Cub Scouts of America. We had to squeeze nearly 70 people (mostly kids) into the meeting room!
